The Atlanta Lightning Challenge March 29-30, 2008 Boys & Girls, U10 - U15 The Lightning Challenge is held in March each year for Select teams from U10 to U15. This is good timing for Nothern teams to come down and enjoy a little Southern hospitality before they get their season going. For the Southern teams it provides an early season break and allows us to get a few games against different competition. We limit the ages for this tournament since the older Georgia players are involved in high school play at this time. The tournament is USYSA sanctioned but will accept teams from other other organizations such as US Club Soccer. Click here for complete tournament information and to apply online. Lightning's Summer Sizzlin' Soccer August 16-17, 2008 Boys & Girls, U10 - U19 The Sizzlin' Summer Soccer is a pre-season opportunity for teams to see what they have before the bigger tournaments start. With this in mind, the tournament will be played as friendlies, trying to find the best match ups to allow teams to play against other teams at their level. Without the pressure of playing for a trophy coaches will find this tournament an ideal one to experiment with their line ups and and to see what they they really have going into the new season. The tournament is USYSA sanctioned but will accept teams from other other organizations such as US Club Soccer. Full information on this tournament will be available in early April, 2008.
