Players should plan to attend all three nights of tryouts at AFC Lightning. This gives our coaching staff the best opportunity to evaluate players in technical activities, small sided and larger games during the tryout process. The selection process is difficult and our professional coaching staff spends a great deal of time evaluating each player during the tryout period. Some players, not all, will learn their status prior to the end of the tryouts but please allow our coaching staff 48 hours from the end of the tryouts to contact you. 

If you are selected to a Lightning team you have until Signing Day to make your commitment to the club. On signing day you will register for your Lightning team and pay all applicable fees due.

Signing dates:

June 11, 2013 for U9 - U13 Boys and Girls

June 18, 2013 for U14 - U18 Boys and Girls

June 4-6 for our U14 - U18 Boys and Girls: McCurry South Complex 130 County Farm Rd. Fayetteville, GA.

Pre-Registration for Tryouts is OPEN and is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.  Parents can register online here to help us better prepare for the tryouts and to save you time at the complex on the day of evaluations. If you register online please stop by our tents at the complex to pick up your tryout number. For questions about online registration please contact Sue@afclightning.org

Participation: This camp is open to any current U8 - U12 Select and Recreation players, who are interested in playing in the U9 - U13 select in 2011-2012.  Camp is open to anyone, regardless of current club affiliation.

The camp focuses on developing sound technical ability in the following areas: dribbling, 1v1, finishing, passing, and receiving.

This was the fifth final for the Gold squad this season; they have won four championships. This was the second tournament championship for the Yellow team.

This camp is open to the following birth dates 08/01/00 through 07/31/05.
