Steve Muccillo Assistant Director of Coaching Email:  SteveMuccillo@aol.com Telephone:  770-631-7869 Steve has worked at AFC Lightning for 13 years.  He has been a full time staff member for 9 of those years. He has served as the Director for the Boys’ Program and currently severs as the overall club’s Assistant Director of Coaching. While serving as AFC’s Boys’ Director, Steve continued the great tradition of successes that preceded him. He has been vital to many State Championships including most recently his AFC Lightning ‘87 team that won State Cup and made it all the way to a Region III Final in 2005. This team repeated as Champions in 2006 and played in the Region III Championships in Little Rock, Ark. To a great extent his success lies in his abilities to develop and prepare players for the next level, be it College or the professional ranks. Over the years, Coach Muccillo has also developed strong relationships with college coaches across the nation. Steve continues to be a major driving force in the growth and development of this club as well as its players. Steve grew up in the Atlanta area and attended Forest Park High School in Clayton County.  He attended Georgia State University where the Panthers won 2 TAAC championships in 1986 and 1987.  He graduated with a BA majoring in Computer Information Systems. Following college, Steve played professionally in the USISL, NPSL, A-league and EISL. Steve holds the USSF ‘A’ license and a NSCAA Premier Diploma.
