Gerald has been coaching youth soccer for 25 years.
Gerald returned to AFC Lightning in 2006 after coaching with the PTC Lazers for 10 years. Prior to this, he coached for Tophat Soccer Club for 3 years and at AFC Lightning for 2 years. During this time he also began the Girls’ and Boys’ soccer programs at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School in Fayetteville, GA.
Prior to moving to Georgia, Gerald coached soccer in Orange County, California. He coached at Fountain Valley High school from 1981 until 1989. The boys’ varsity team won the Sunset League. He also coached for the North Huntington Beach soccer club from 1986-1991. The team won the California-South Open Cup. They were also Regional Semi-Finalists. Gerald coached for the California-South Olympic Development Program from 1987-1991.
Gerald played soccer competitively for 8 years while living in Trinidad, W.I. for the Ebonites. Prior to this, he played for Nelligen in West Germany and for the Liberian soccer club.
Gerald currently holds the United States Soccer Federation "C" License.
