Mitchum joined the coaching staff in August 2009 as a Staff Coach. 

Mitchum started his coaching career at Georgia Southern University as the Graduate assistant Coach and moved into the assistant coach position after a season.

Mitchum currently holds a USSF ‘D’ and NSCAA National Diploma.

Mitchum played his college career at Georgia Southern University where he was a 3 year captain and helped the team reach the conference finals in his senior year.

Mitchum received his Bachelors in Business Administration with emphasis in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation in 2007 and in 2009 a Masters in Science with emphasis in Kinesiology.
