2016 AFC Lightning Summer Camps
All sessions directed by AFC Executive Director Roby Stahl
All sessions $129 per week
Why intensive technical training? Low technical abilities lead to a low tactical, physical and psychological performance on the field. Therefore high technical abilities will lead to a high tactical, physical and psychological performance for the student as a successful player!
- This mastery of technique also will allow students to play at a higher speed thus enhancing their team’s abilities to “win time” in games.
- Games with the possibility of many choices and reflections
- Simple tactical exercises forcing the player to make a quick decision
- Realistic activities which make the player feel as if he/she were in a real game
All the Right Moves (1 v 1)
Based on the best-selling DVD ‘All the Right Moves” produced by Stahl. In this session the players are taught moves that work in games, soccer dribbling moves to help you get a move on … your opponent that is. A collection of different soccer dribbling moves that will leave your opponent standing. Scissors moves, spin moves, fakes, tricks and more. Each soccer move is carefully detailed and taught at match speed and in slow motion. What appears to be complex is made easy for players of all ages and abilities. In this easy to learn session you gets to train using the same dribbling techniques world class players put on their opponents. Only one session will be available all summer!

This immensely popular program sells out every season! The emphasis of this school is on how to properly strike the soccer ball. Items addressed will include but not be limited to striking with the laces, inside/outside of foot, volleys, half-volleys, and side volleys. Each session begins with body movement exercises designed to move better as an athlete. Each session ends with a striking game. Open to players from all clubs and all positions.
This year we are adding goalkeeping training using our goalkeeper staff. Sessions will teach catching techniques involving fielding low balls, diving, and high balls. Dealing with breakaways with strikers is a hot topic and will be stressed. GKs will be placed in activities with field players regularly.
